Many organizations are researching allergies but research takes money. And money doesn't’ seem to grow as fast as the rising increase in allergies. If you’d like to donate to contain, end, or educate about food allergies or just learn more, here are some links to organizations who can use your help. Just click on the logos.

Tidbits

Please email us more helpful hints to be posted here.

I purchase cupcakes by the dozen from an allergen-free bakery (such as bellasbakery.com) and store them in the freezer. When my child has a birthday party to go to, we bring one with us so he isn't left out at cake time.   Keith, NJ

The best advice I can give anyone is to have there child ask (as soon as he knows how to talk) "Does this have nuts???" It's short and to the point and makes adults think twice about what they are offering my son. As soon as he could talk I had him learning that phrase, and to this day he second guesses the foods people give him.    Monica, NJ

At family holiday dinners, I always volunteer to bring the dessert so I can be sure to bing something that is safe for my child.   Krysi, NJ
